Admissions criteria

Under the provisions of section 4 of the College Education Regulations concerning the conditions of admission, a person who has received instruction considered sufficient by the college and meets any of the following conditions may be admitted to a program of studies leading to an Attestation of College Studies:

  1. The person has interrupted his or her full-time studies or pursued full-time postsecondary studies for at least 2 consecutive terms or 1 school year;
  2. The person is covered by an agreement entered into between the college and an employer or by a government program of studies;
  3. The person has interrupted his or her full-time studies for one term and pursued full-time postsecondary studies for one term; or
  4. The person holds a Diploma of Vocational Studies (DVS/DEP).

 

Documents required for your admission:

All applications for admission must be accompanied by the following documents:

  • Completed application form
  • Non-refundable application fee of $50.00 and Admission fee of $200.00 ($250.00)
  • Birth certificate (certified copy)
  • Most recent academic transcript or diploma:
    • Issued by MES (Ministère de l'Enseignement supérieur), if a student in Quebec
    • Issued by the province or territory, if a student outside Quebec
    • Issued by the institution or state, if an international student

Any official documents issued outside Quebec must be a certified copy or the original. 

Documents written in language other than English or French must be accompanied by an official translation.

For non-native English speakers:

  • Have the required IELTS 5.5 score or equivalent or 
  • Have the required equivalent English language benchmark verified by Trebas Institute Quebec Inc. or
  • Successful completion of GCAS Level 4 or TSoM EAP level 4 or
  • Pass a free In-house English Assessment Test (Written onsite or online with exam proctor)

Application process

Trebas Institute Quebec Inc. makes application for enrolment easy. Please follow the steps below:

With the help of an admissions counselor, gather the documents required for your admissions file. Required documents include:

  • A copy of your birth certificate issued by the Directeur de l’état civil du Québec
  • A copy of your transcript
  • A copy of your high school diploma (DES)
  • Proof of citizenship or residency - if born outside of Canada

It should be noted that all documents must be in English or French.

With the help of an admissions counselor and the head of student financial aid, determine the most appropriate payment method and complete, if necessary, the required documents.

Trebas Institute Quebec Inc. - Transfer Credit

If you have studied at recognized post-secondary institutions (public or private), you might be able to transfer course credits to Trebas Institute Quebec Inc.

How it Works

To have transfer credits approved, you must show their equivalence to the Trebas Institute Quebec Inc. course from which you’re looking to receive an exemption. You must pay an assessment fee for each course that’s subject to a transfer request. Trebas Institute Quebec Inc. can approve up to 25% of the related program can be granted credits.

How to Apply

You must submit your Credit Transfer Application before registration. If granted, program fees and program length will be adjusted accordingly. The Campus Director is responsible for approving your application. Please speak with your advisor for full details.
