Audio Engineering & production/DJ arts
Term One
In a recording studio, students acquire experience creating professional recordings, as well as film & television soundtracks, using standard industry techniques. They learn music theory and how to apply acoustic principles to sound recording and live sound, including a practical understanding of audio equipment. The Audio Engineering and Production/DJ Arts program also provides an overview of the music industry. Students study the vocabulary and application of MIDI (Musical Instrument Digital Interface) protocol.
