TV Studio
Students will be able to produce eye catching virtual sets that utilize Green Screen technology to immerse an on-air subject into any preprogrammed environment. Virtual elements of the set actually interact with real elements in front of the camera. This level of digital power has never before been available to broadcast television studios or schools in this new and innovative way. Students will be able to produce professional broadcast quality productions which is a very exciting opportunity.
Film/TV Editing Suites
At Trebas, we use industry standard professional digital video edit suites. These systems, based on both Mac and PC platforms, supply our students with the tools and exposure necessary to build the confidence that will champion their successful entry into leading post production studios in all genres of the film and television industries. Currently, we have labs equipped with Avid (on PC) and Final Cut Pro (on Mac). Both of these edit suites offer students the opportunity to learn and produce broadcast quality films and video. These systems are used to edit projects from platforms such as film, Beta tapes, Mini DV and direct HD transfers, affording our students the freedom to choose the format of their liking. These labs are launch pads for creating the kind of calling card every editor wants to have while making their films marketable and distributed.
Film Production Equipment
Our philosophy at Trebas is to encourage students to become well rounded. Professionals need the skills that will allow them to confidently move from one camera platform to the next while fully understanding and using the tools necessary for success. In the students’ journey at Trebas, they will use digital video cameras by Sony and Canon. Students will acquire skills and techniques to professionally shoot films in the 16mm format. The production skills the students will use will be a valuable stepping stone to their success in filmmaking. To complement the cameras used in film production, students will also use an array of lighting equipment and portable digital recording devices. Our students, through the learning process, will have the opportunity to capture, enhance and illustrate the magic of film making through the use of these tools.
