2nd ANNUAL TREBAS INTERNATIONAL STUDENT FILM AWARDS 2011

 

After receiving some incredible films from students around the world, we are excited to announce the call for entries to our 2nd Annual Trebas International Student Film Awards (TISFA) 2011. TISFA was created by Trebas Institute Film & TV Department to provide an opportunity for student filmmakers from all over Canada and around the world, to have their film projects recognized for artistic merit.

 

Awards will be in the following categories*:

 

  •         Best Dramatic Film
  •         Best Animated Film
  •         Best Documentary Film
  •         Best 3-D Stereoscopic Film
  •         Best Cinematography
  •         Best Editing
  •         Best Sound Design
  •         Best Actor
  •         Best Music
  •         Best Music Video
  •         Best Foreign Film

 

*Please note that submissions can be of any genre, however submissions must not have a running time longer than 15 minutes.

 

We are committed to supporting independent film and providing a source of peer based encouragement, learning and growth, while celebrating the wealth of student filmmaking talent, that is too often overlooked.

 

Please see the rules and regulations documents for the eligibility of your film. Pease fill out the TISFA entry form completely. Submissions must arrive at our offices no later than midnight August 3, 2011. Our Selection committee will make their decisions by August 31, 2011 and the finalists will be posted on our website. Selected entries will be screened publicly in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, on or about September 7th , 2011 during a red-carpet awards ceremony that will coincide with the Toronto International Film Festival (venue to be announced).

 

TISFA does its best to provide our talented and dedicated filmmakers with awards that foster their creativity, such as equipment and/or free rental vouchers. Our goal is always to provide rewards that make them even stronger competitors.
