Judith Kanatahawi Schuyler
Indigenous Filmmaker
Judith Kanatahawi Schuyler (Haudenosaunee, Oneida) has long supported the Indigenous arts community, including over 5 years with the imagineNATIVE Film + Media Arts Festival. She is the first Indigenous Programmer for the Forest City Film Festival and the Wairoa Māori Film Festival. Schuyler is working on the short film “There is Light,” the LGBT-themed “Once Upon A Time in the Bay,” and her debut feature, “Strippers Have No Names.” She also received the Netflix Apprenticeship and Cultural Mentorship grant and contributes to the Indigenous Screen Office’s Membership Circle.
