Micro-Credential Podcasting Production Introduction – Toronto

Trebas Institute’s Micro-Credential will provide you with the necessary knowledge and skills to get started on your path to podcasting production.

This foundational podcasting program teaches the student an understanding of the opportunity, limitations, development, writing, production, and distribution process for an Audio Podcast. Workshop for podcast production program will introduce students to Audacity, an open-source, cross-platform audio editing software, as well as audio recording devices. Audacity can be used to record, import, trim, refine, and otherwise manipulate multiple audio tracks to compose interviews, stories, music, or remixes for podcasts and other projects.

This podcasting program will focus on using Audacity and recording devices to create and compose material in the podcast format, and demonstrate some features of Audacity for creating audio remixes. Through demonstration, discussion, and practice, students will learn the technical processes of capturing and editing audio for their production purposes, and reflect on narrative elements and styles in order to create and distribute a successful Podcast production.
