About this Program
Aspiring sound designer? Learn how to create the perfect sounds for video games, television, films and much more with the Sound Design program at Trebas Institute Quebec Inc. Our instructors are constantly working to update the program to keep you at the cutting edge of the industry. Additionally, our team are trained in state-of-the-art recording and editing equipment to help you thrive in any aspect of today’s modern recording industry. As a result, you’ll be ready to take on roles including a sound mixer, Foley artist and much more.

Skills and Competencies
Throughout the sound design course, you will develop a range of skills and be able to perform a range of sound-design tasks. Some of these include:
- Sound design for visual media (film, TV, video games, etc.)
- Foley (the reproduction of everyday sounds) for visual media
- Sound recording and mixing
- Operating industry-standard digital audio software programs
- Audio post-production for film and video
- Assessing the acoustics of a room or studio space
- Music production (music theory, composition, electronic production tools, etc.)
- Sound for DJ applications (creating loops, sound effects, etc.)
- Ear training
- Effectively navigating the audio industry
