Our grants are intended to provide tuition support for prospective international students to make quality education more accessible.

Our grants and scholarships are applicable when applying for any intake until Dec. 31st, 2024. Please note that there may be changes to tuition amounts and/or other fees during the time they are in effect.

A grant or a scholarship cannot be combined with any other grant or scholarship, it has no cash value and cannot be transferred.

Trebas Sherryl K Scholarship EN

Sherryl Kintu Scholarship Fund
Fully funded by: Trebas Institute Ontario Inc. / Global University Systems
Open: to all applicants for our creative programs at Trebas Institute Ontario Inc. A maximum of two (2) students will receive the award.
Amount: 100% on the full tuition fee of your study program
Deadline: July 2024

Sherryl Kintu Scholarship fully funded now available for students at Trebas Institute Ontario Inc.


About the scholarship: The Sherryl Kintu Scholarship scheme was set up as a tribute to, and in recognition of, the passions and interests of Sherryl Kintu, who was a dedicated employee of Global University Systems for 9 years where she rose from Executive Assistant to a Director level position. Sherryl sadly passed away in April 2021. Sherryl was known as a trustworthy friend to individuals and the company, with a passion and drive for everything she did. Applicants to this scholarship are expected to reflect these qualities. 


The aims and objectives of this scholarship are guided by the ideas and thoughts of Sherryl’s family and friends, and ultimately to drive the success of a worthy individuals in the directions Sherryl would have wished.


The scholarships are supported by the Executive CEO and Founder of Global University systems in recognition of Sherryl’s contribution.


Sherryl was passionate about the Entrepreneurial spirit of Black women, and also a highly creative person in the Arts. It is these areas of study and career progression that the scholarship supports. In assessing your application, the Sherryl Kintu Fund Board (SKFB) will look for a plausible successful outcome in line with aims and objectives of the scholarship.

In particular:

  • The overall quality of your application - clear evidence of passion, drive, creativity and ambition will carry particular weight
  • The apparent need for funding
  • The goals and progression you will achieve arising from the Scholarship

We offer the Creative Grant to provide tuition support and make Canadian education more attainable to our domestic students at Toronto campus.

Up to $2,000 (CAD) grant will automatically be applied to new students for our 2024 intakes at Toronto campus.

Eligibility:

a- Our grants and scholarships are applicable to all our 2024 intakes. Note that there may be changes to tuition amounts and/or other fees during the time this application is in effect.

b- Trebas Institute’s Creative Grant recipients are expected to act as ambassadors and participate in outreach and alumni engagement initiatives in their home region for Trebas Institute once the grant is granted.

c- To remain eligible for a grant and receive the tuition disbursement students must complete their diploma program within 12 months of starting the program and remain in good academic and financial standing during the time of their disbursements. A scholarship cannot be combined with any other grant or scholarship, it has no cash value and cannot be transferred.

TERMS OF REFERENCE

Trebas Institute’s Creative Grant is open to: Any new domestic students.

Number of grants: Trebas Institute’s Creative Grant will be awarded each term to all new applicants for admission.

Grant value: Trebas Institute’s Creative Grant has of up to $2,000 CAD and will be disbursed as a tuition credit. Disbursements will be pro-rated based on the number of courses in which the student is registered.

Eligibility: Candidates will be considered for the Creative Grant based on the date of their admission to Trebas Institute.

Up to $500 (CAD) grant will automatically be applied to new students, applying for 2024 intakes at Toronto campus.

Eligibility:

b- Trebas Institute’s Tech Grant recipients are expected to act as ambassadors and participate in outreach and alumni engagement initiatives in their home region for Trebas Institute once the grant is granted.

TERMS OF REFERENCE

Trebas Institute’s Tech Grant is open to: Any new domestic student applying for 2024 intakes .

Number of grants: Trebas Institute’s Tech Grant will be awarded each term to all new applicants for admission.

Grant value: Trebas Institute’s Tech Grant has a value can go up to $500 CAD and will be disbursed as a tuition credit. Disbursements will be pro-rated based on the number of courses in which the student is registered.

Eligibility: Candidates will be considered for the Tech Grant based on the date of their admission to Trebas Institute.

About the scholarship: A scholarship equivalent to the amount of tuition paid for a University Pathway Program (UPP) completed at The Language Gallery Canada (TLGC), up to a maximum of $3,000 CAD, will be awarded and applied towards the last fee instalment of a Trebas program (excluding certificate programs).

Effective date: May 1, 2024

Amount: Up to $3,000

Eligibility: International students who did not attend an English-based education system and who fulfil the following requirements:

  1. Successfully complete an online or in-person UPP at TLGC prior to the start date of a post-secondary program (excluding certificate programs) at Trebas.
  2. Navigate to the online application portal and select "GUS Canada Colleges Pathways Scholarship" in the scholarship section.
  3. Include their UPP certificate and transcripts in their Trebas application prior to their post-secondary program’s start date.
  4. Successfully complete the payment of all fee instalments up to the last fee instalment.

Terms of Reference

  1. The scholarship cannot be transferred or combined with any other offer, bursary or scholarship.
  2. Only students who have not attended an English-based education system are eligible.
  3. The scholarship is only valid for students starting their post-secondary programs (excluding certificate programs) between May 2024 and September 2025 at Trebas. The scholarship will not be applied for students who have started the post-secondary program outside these dates.
  4. Only the UPP tuition payments will be converted to the scholarship amount. Fees paid for books and registration will not be included in the scholarship amount.
  5. Any value paid for extra weeks outside the specified durations (8, 12, 16 or 20 weeks for online and 8 or 12 weeks for in-person) will not be included in the scholarship calculation.
  6. Any value paid for the UPP after the maximum scholarship amount ($3,000 CAD) has been achieved will not be converted into additional scholarship value for the post-secondary program.
  7. Any changes or cancellations to the student’s application for UPP is subject to the regular Terms & Conditions and Refund Policy of TLGC and any fees paid will not be converted to the scholarship.
  8. In case of withdrawal from the post-secondary program, the scholarship eligibility is no longer valid. Trebas’ Terms & Conditions and Refund Policies apply for such cases.
  9. All prices are listed in Canadian dollars.
  10. The outlined scholarship is discretionary and subject to change without notice.

We offer the family scholarship to support and encourage family members to continue working to achieve their goals at Trebas Institute Ontario.

Any registered student who is in good academic and financial standing with the School and any prospective student that wishes to recommend a direct family member to Trebas Institute may apply for Trebas Institute Ontario’s Family Scholarship.

Amount: A 50% discount on the total tuition of the referred student.

Eligible Programs: Audio Engineering & Production/DJ Arts; Film & Television Production and Post-Production; Diploma in Cybersecurity Specialist Co-op; Diploma in Data Analytics Co-op.

Family Scholarship Application Form

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

1. The student who refers a family member must complete and sign the Family Scholarship Application with their personal and contact information

2. The Family Scholarship Application must be submitted to Trebas Institute with the Admission Application form

a. Eligible Secondary applicants include the following family members: spouse, sibling, parent, and child. To qualify, the students must provide proof of first-degree relationship

Documents Accepted as Proof of First-Degree Family Relationship:

  • Siblings/Parents/Children: birth certificates
  • Spouses: marriage certificate

b. All documents must be translated in English or French

3. The discount (50%) will be applied to the second student (if one student is already attending) or the student with the lowest fees (if both students are prospective students)

4. Installment plans will not be available for the student receiving the discount. 50% deposit must be paid the first day of class + 50% first day of third term

5. This Family scholarship cannot be combined with any other promotion or offer

6. The scholarship will be available for all 2024 intakes

7. If one of the students withdraw or cancel their application, the scholarship will become void and full fees will apply

8. Trebas Institute reserves the right to modify, cancel, and limit this promotion
