Why such a policy?
Since its inception, Trebas Institute has promoted a healthy workplace and teaching environment. It is committed to providing its students with an educational environment free of sexual violence and to treating those who report incidents of this nature with dignity and respect. Through its Policy, Trebas Institute is committed to preventing acts of violence, getting involved in awareness, getting involved in training and supporting individuals.
What is the Single Point of Contact?
The Single Point of Contact is a reception, referral and support mechanism set up by Trebas Institute to welcome anyone who wishes to transmit information or in need of support in connection with sexual violence.
The Single Point of Contact is under the responsibility of the Internship and Job Advisor. This person is a trained professional who is empowered to support and treat individuals in distress. This service can be reached at any time at the following email address: violencessexuelles@trebas.com, by calling (514) 845-4141, ext. 27, or in person, at the Office of the Internship and Job Advisor according to her work schedule.
Everyone in the institute’s community is entitled to the services available if they feel the need.
It is important to stress that the main mandate of the Single Point of Contact is to welcome people with information to pass on and to accompany them in the process and not to conduct an administrative or disciplinary investigation.
It is with great pride that we take the success of our students to heart. In this spirit, we offer a variety of services that stand out, in particular, through an approach that promotes proximity between staff and the student body.
Do you need help to complete your work? Are you stressed about exams? Know that we put at your service a dedicated team focused on your academic success.

Housing partnerships
Trebas Institute has recently partnered with Places4Students (a premier website for landlords to advertise their rental properties for students). This will make the process of finding a place to stay in Toronto and Montreal much more straightforward for students.
As a popular and accredited rental platform, Places4Students provides students, schools and landlords with high quality, off-campus housing. As a student, this can take a weight off of your shoulders as finding accommodation can often be a big stress.
The website provides a large real-time database for student housing vacancies in Montreal, Toronto and the surrounding areas. You can easily view property photos, the landlord’s contact information and property features.
We want our students to have an enjoyable and exciting experience while at Trebas - and finding accommodation should not be something to stress over. You can use Places4Students to find an apartment, a roommate or even a short term sublet. Make the difficult stuff as straightforward as possible, so you can focus on training to become the talent of tomorrow!

Banking partnership
Most of our students come to Trebas with the dream of becoming an industry professional. In order to thrive in music or media, there are a few prerequisites that must be met.
Financial health is important regardless of what industry you go into. However, it is particularly important for those interested in creative industries, which often require a lot of hard labour when you are initially starting out. It is important to have a solid footing and develop healthy habits when it comes to money while you are still studying.
As an international student, you may not be sure where to start when choosing a Canadian bank. To help support you, we have entered into a partnership with the largest provider of banking solutions in Quebec: Desjardins.
By becoming members of Desjardins, international students can now transfer funds to Canada even before arriving in the country. This means you have one less thing to deal with when you do finally arrive.
Desjardins also offers a variety of benefits and services including:
- Access to a bank account with a free monthly plan, including an unlimited number of transactions.
- Access to a credit card including bonuses and rewards.
- Access to exclusive benefits and discounts allowing students to discover Canada at competitive rates (ie travel, gym, restaurants, etc.)
- Access to an extensive network of ATMs.
- Access to the Desjardins mobile application which allows transactions to be carried out in a few clicks.
Are you an international student looking to register at Desjardins?

Insurance
As a student at Trebas, you will have a lot on your plate, whether that includes: classes, studying, university events, musical collaborations with friends or fellow students, attending events in your local area and work or other personal commitments.
While you are juggling all of this, important things like student health insurance may slip your mind. Students are often living on a tight budget, and many health insurance plans can be costly. However, the cost of having to pay for an unplanned medical bill can be alarmingly high.
There are several alternatives to cover medical emergencies and health insurance in the market. Students are obliged to have a plan. As a suggestion, Trebas can suggest studyinsured. Nevertheless, this is a student’s choice and Trebas disclaims any responsibility.”
The insurance policy is available to all suitable students and covers medical emergencies, medications and medical visits while providing several other benefits.
Whoever you choose as your provider - don’t neglect organizing student health insurance!
Computers
Students at Trebas Institute often spend a lot of their time working online and using digital programmes - regardless of what programme they are enrolled on. We understand the importance of having reliable, high-performance and affordable equipment in order to complete your work to your best ability.
For this reason, we have partnered up with DELL Computers to provide unbeatable discounts and offers for our students in Toronto and Montreal. Students may use DELL to purchase laptops, desktop computers or other PC accessories.
Some benefits of our partnership with DELL:
- Exclusive discounts on current or discounted items
- Dell Advantage Loyalty Rewards
- Free shipping and easy returns
- Quick and easy financing options (subject to credit approval).
