Trebas competes in Toronto School of Management’s 2024 Cybersecurity Capture the Flag (CTF) competition

On February 12, Trebas Institute Toronto participated in Toronto School of Management’s 2024 Cybersecurity Capture the Flag (CTF) competition, which took place at the siberX CISO Forum Canada.

Two teams from Trebas took part in the event, and many more Trebas students and staff members watched it online.

The event brought together speakers, attendees, and sponsors from across the information security management industry.

Topics of discussion included leadership, strategic planning and technological innovations and changes in the cybersecurity industry.

The teams from Trebas competed against teams from Toronto School of Management, Niagara College – Toronto, Computek College, Skills for Change and YES Employment Services in a challenge to see which team could successfully reverse-engineer environments and find web exploits the fastest.

A great time was had by everyone at the event, as students made new connections and built on their knowledge and experience with cybersecurity concepts.
