WhatsAppIn December, we joined forces with the Unison Fund as a Bronze Sponsor for their holiday Shmoozefest 2022. Shmoozefest was an important event for Trebas and the music industry more widely and it was a great experience and enjoyable evening for all who attended. The Unison Fund, who hosted the event, provided financial and mental support to artists during the pandemic so this was a great occasion for us to come together and celebrate everything we’ve overcome since the pandemic began.
Unison was formed in 2010 with the goal of ensuring that those in the Canadian music business never have to face times of crisis alone. They deliver life-saving emergency financial services and professional counselling that offer much-needed hope and support to those in need.
Located at Toronto’s iconic Rec Room, the event was attended by industry leading professionals from the world of music in Toronto. Hosted by TV personality Traci Melchor and Shawn Hook with the music being provided by Toronto-based DJ 4KORNERS with an encore performance provided by TV personality/content creator Priyanka.
The event was catered by the Rec Room kitchens who provided a variety of food to suit all dietary requirements, ensuring our students and staff were fully fuelled for the fun activities ahead! The Rec Room was a great choice for the event, a family-friendly venue with an on-site café and bar. The Rec Room is redefining the meaning of fun with over 40,000 sq. feet of games and entertainment. The venue features virtual reality, video and games, as well as a space for live music and entertainment.
Holiday spirit could be felt throughout the event – enhanced by the arrival of Fashion Santa, a great addition to the event. A silent auction was held alongside the usual fun and games that are a prevalent part of the Rec Room’s entertainment activities and guests got the chance to socialize and catch up with one another before the holiday break.
