Cybersecurity Instructor

Benicio Soares’ career began in the Information Technology IT field upon graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Technical University of Lisbon, Portugal. He began by working as a Technical Analyst with a focus in Linux environment, Oracle database and network. His focus was the aspect of exploring different roles and domains. Over the years, he has continued to expand and update his knowledge by taking the Internet Systems Administrator program at Seneca College, as well as the Information and Cybersecurity program at the University of Toronto.

As Benicio spent more time in the IT field, his major interest became designing network infrastructure of an organization that guards against unauthorized access.

Benicio truly believes that teaching at Trebas in the field of Cybersecurity has allowed him to grow personally and professionally while making a positive impact on students and society in general.
